The CDQPrima digital audio codec is a device used to send stereo audio between 2 fixed points using the MPEG algorhythm (mainly) at 128kbs.

The Codecs function is to compress and un-compress (or COde and DECode) the audio data into the 128 kbits (2 channels) available over an ISDN2 line.

Allows data to be transmitted at high speed over the public telephone network.

MPEG Layer 2 & Layer 3 (Moving Picture Experts Group)

An ISO (International Standards Organization) group that sets standards for compressing and storing video, audio, and animation in digital. form.

Musicam

Musicam is an implementation of the Layer II coding algorithm designed by CCS in the USA.

Tagged Image File Format. File format used to exchange files between applications and computer platforms.
