Andrew Troullides
Chief Media Officer

Andy simultaneously discovered advertising media and communications technology as a teenager in 1975, working in traffic at the London office of Ulster TV. He sat between a Gestetner copier and a telex machine and was a proficient user of both. After stints at Anglia TV and creative agencies JWT, Lowe and BWBC, he headed up the UK launch in 1993 of MediaCom (now part of WPP). Andy frequently adopted the demanding defensive midfield CEO role as media minder to major brand owners and he became an industry name - albeit one that has always been quite difficult to spell.

In 1999 the Internet beckoned and he gave up the agency comfort zone, later joining forces with the founders of Optimad, where broadcast and print media workflow and data transfer challenges were to prove irresistible (yeah, right). Connecting up the TV industry's many isolated systems, directing the evolution of CARIA® and extending into other media sectors remain at the top of Andy's priorities at IMD Optimad, although making sure the play is spread out wide still drives him crazy.
